Letters to Sydney: Every Day I am Killing Cancer, By Heather Jose, OTR

Posted by Dan Janal, Your Fearless PR Leader | November 30th, 2007

Question: Who is the intended audience?
Answer: Survivors and their families that are searching for inspiration and concrete ways to be actively involved after being diagnosed with cancer.

Q: What is the book about?

A: LTS is my journey as a 26 year old mother diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. After being told to ‘get my affairs in order’ I simply could not accept that fate, arming myself with resources this book details the path that I followed in order to be well. Using conventional treatment I also added nutrition, visualization, exercise and prayer to my routine in order to kill cancer. This book offers hope and empowerment as well as practical tips in an easy to read story.

Q: Why are you the best person to write this book?
A: I am still alive and well nine years later after applying my focus to killing cancer.

Q: How is this book different from other books on this topic?
A: It is not preachy or sappy, it is real. It discusses real issues and how I made them work. It takes the reader through my cancer and leaves them feeling inspired to fight their own battle.

Q: Is there anything else we should know about this book?
A: Again and again I have been told by people that once they picked up the book they couldn’t put it down. Readers walk away feeling that they have gained perspective not only on fighting cancer but also on appreciating life.

That’s why this book looks at the humorous side of becoming famous and even explores those that choose to become infamous. Q: Why are you the best person to write this book?
A: Having been in the publishing and publicity fields for more than 28 years, I have promoted Fortune 500 corporations, distinguished experts, best-selling authors, and legendary celebrities.

Q: How is this book different from other books on this topic?
A: Not only have I listed the step-by-step process, but I’ve listed more than 300 contacts used by publicists across the country. I call this my “Million Dollar Rolodex.”

Q: Is there anything else we should know about this book?
A: This book was written for all those “wanna-bees” that know they have what it takes to climb the ladder of success or stardom, but not necessarily the know-how to get there. “52 Ways to Become Famous” also makes a great gift for others.
